MECHANICAL SERVICES MECHANIC Working location: Griffin, GA, USA JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Roll Mechanics responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for the disassembly and assembly of bearing housings and internal roll components using air tools and hand tools, hydraulic bearing/gear pullers. Visual inspection of roll components and parts to ensure quality of used components. Properly documenting repair requirements as listed in company repair manuals and instructions. Capable of safely handling rolls and components using overhead cranes and forklifts (capacities can reach 60 tons). Demonstrate knowledge and skills using basic hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, cutting with a torch, basic layout, blueprint reading, and precision measurement. Knowledge of bearings, chains, sprockets, and troubleshooting techniques preferred. Perform basic computer/data entry tasks. Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, and stooping). Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, etc.). Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations and adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and performance. Help meet or exceed quality goals through a quality maintenance program. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High school Diploma or equivalent. Experience:

2 years of relevant manufacturing-related mechanical or millwright experience, or 2 years technical training preferred. Qualified candidates will possess solid mechanical aptitude skills, as well as a clear drug screen and background check.
