Timberland: Floor Supervisor - Fashion Centre at Pentagon City This role will lead, develop, and motivate a team of Brand Advocates, ensuring a Best in Class customer experience aligned with Timberland’s brand purpose and values. The Floor Supervisor partners with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring compliance with company standards, including customer engagement, story‑telling merchandising, operations, and community connection.

Additional responsibilities include fostering an inclusive environment, ensuring internal and external customers are top priority, and acting in the store team’s self‑development through Division of Responsibility rotations and Position‑based training.

Responsibilities

Assist in maximizing sales and achieving store target goals by leading a productive environment and ensuring the store team has the knowledge and skills to meet store goals for sales and customer engagement.

Assist in monitoring payroll while protecting the needs of the business.

Lead and inspire a customer‑centric culture by recognizing and rewarding the team’s successes.

Act as an active brand ambassador within the community, proactively seeking opportunities to engage with customers and support or participate in community initiatives outside the store.

Provide leadership in ensuring thorough training and ongoing development of the store team in customer engagement and all company programs, policies and procedures.

Partner with the Store Manager in achieving all financial and operational objectives including expense control, loss prevention, store audits and review of weekly reports.

Ensure the store’s inventory integrity is maintained.

Implement visual merchandise directives and maintain standards consistent with the company brand strategies.

Ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures, standards, and practices regarding loss prevention, safety and compliance; protect company assets.

Model behavior that respects the background, experience, and cultural differences of others while upholding the integrity and values of the VF Corporation and Timberland.

Promote an environment encouraging participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others.

Qualifications

1+ years of store management experience in a fast‑paced, highly engaging retail environment.

Proven ability to meet and exceed sales results.

Flexible schedule to meet business needs; will require weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced store environment.

Proven ability to meet business goals by driving results through store team.

Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge of products, local community, experiences and activities relevant to the store’s customer base.

Ability and desire to provide a highly engaging customer experience through individual service, conversation and relationship building.

Excellent decision‑making ability in a fast‑paced environment.

Detail‑oriented.

Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and software programs.

Preferred

Experience in a specialty retail environment, particularly in footwear or apparel.

High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

Operate office equipment and technology (computers, tablets, phones, copier, etc.).

Standing required for entire shift.

Ability to bend, lift, open and move product up to 50 pounds as needed.

Use of ladders for visual merchandising, light adjustments, and window banner placement.

Benefits & Compensation Hiring range: $18.86 - $27.72 USD per hour. Eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission.
