Door Technician/Installer
Company: J & J Construction
Location: BWI (Baltimore Washington International Airport) and MTN (Martin State Airport). This is a full‑time position Monday – Friday.

Requirements
Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and opens mechanical and electronic locks, locking systems, door closers and locking devices.
Prepare estimates of time, labor, and materials. Complete required reports or documentation related to work.
Operate and maintain hand and power tools and equipment of the locksmith trade. Clean work area upon completion of project.
Able to troubleshoot and rebuild locks, lock cylinders and lockets to include re‑pinning/re‑keying locks.
Repairs, assembling, and disassembling all types of major industrial and domestic locks.
Set up master and sub‑master lock systems.
Install and repair vertical and horizontal panic hardware.
Install and repair mortise, unit, integer, cylinder, deadbolt, and auxiliary style locks.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in a proper manner.
Ability to work independently.
Installation and repair of exterior and interior doors for commercial.
Prior experience servicing automated doors, installing door frames, installing glass doors, fire‑rated metal doors (both single & double).
Repair and replace commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
Door hardware repair, replacement, and installation.
Fixing jammed doors and small repairs to frame and door.
Ability to solve problems with creativity to perform the best job requirements.
Service and install all types of door hardware including exit devices, latches and closets.
Minimum of 5 years experience required.
Position Responsibilities
Clear and effective English communication skills.
Willingness to work 40 hours per week.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Professional attitude and a respectable appearance.
Ability to pass a background check.
Maintaining inventory records.
Conduct installation, replacement, and repair work on commercial doors.
Maintain company vehicles (if applicable), tools, and other property in a proper manner.
Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on customer relations and service.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience required.
Certification as a Technician in the Door field is highly desirable (Total Door, Fire Door Certification).
