InTown Suites is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to uphold the daily upkeep of hotel properties and equipment. The role requires on-call availability for emergency situations and occasional duties as a Property Attendant, usually one or two days a week as directed by management.
Responsibilities
Ensure the building and grounds are clean, properly maintained, and free of clutter.
Maintain vacant rooms in good repair, including walls, appliances, furniture, carpets, and cabinets.
Conduct maintenance room punch, including drywall repairs, paint, general repairs, and carpet shampooing.
Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms on a scheduled basis.
Execute service requests in a timely manner.
Respond promptly to all emergency calls.
Maintain interior hallway carpets.
Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations.
Notify supervisor of any guest concerns.
Reconcile daily paperwork with supervisor before shift end.
Perform duties outlined in the Property Attendant Job Description (Exhibit A) and the Non-Resident and On-Call Agreement.
Execute other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Skills & Experience
Proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks in stressful situations.
Working knowledge of air conditioning systems and equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
Experience troubleshooting equipment, identifying parts, and reading manufacturer instructions.
Knowledge of electrical systems and components, proper wire and fuse sizing, and color identification.
Proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, volt‑OHM meter, amprobe, etc.) and testing equipment for air, water, and control calibration.
Mental and physical demands: work on uneven surfaces, climb ladders up to 30 feet, work indoors on carpets and outdoors on concrete, endure extreme weather, work long hours including weekends, frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting or carrying up to 100 lbs.
