Must Haves
High school diploma/GED.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Able to pass drug and background check.
Carpentry, Masonry, Roadwork, Dock Work, Construction, renovation/GC, landscaping, etc. (outdoor/hands on).
Plusses
ACI/SCDOT/Earthwork Certification.
Construction or concrete background.
Military background.
Day to Day Insight Global is hiring Construction Materials Technicians for a large engineering consulting firm in Charleston.
Responsibilities include testing, observation, and inspection of construction projects; communicating with the PM, engineering technicians, and clients; and completing digital reports daily. Technicians will:
Meet with their manager at the office, travel to job sites, perform required tasks, report results to the PM, and either get a new assignment or finish for the day.
Work on one site or multiple sites within 1 hour of Charleston (company vehicle provided; commute time paid).
Monitor fill and soil placements, handle concrete cylinders, test concrete during placement, transport samples for lab analysis, and enter lab data.
Maintain and clean equipment, adhere to strict safety standards, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
