Bindery Operator
to join our team in
Orlando, Florida .
Full-time schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am – 6:30 pm (Eastern time).
Overtime:
Scheduled as needed, usually once a month during the first 7 days of each month for month‑end processing; additional overtime may occur during the week, including weekends on rare occasions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Learn the various aspects of the print‑finishing processes and equipment to improve operation skillsets, competency, and knowledge of the machines and work produced in the Bindery department.
Operate or tend machines that perform print‑finishing operations, such as inserting, folding, cutting, tabbing, Inkjet, Ballots, Sample Ballots, and TRIM in a demanding high‑speed environment.
Accurately set up equipment for optimal production throughput.
Consistently perform duties in a safe manner, following company safety rules.
Follow all established quality‑control procedures to consistently produce accurate and quality work.
Work flexibly, frequently 10+ hours per day, on a recurring basis.
Perform additional work as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Prior experience as a Machine Operator in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, while maintaining confidentiality.
Physical Requirements Employees must use hands for grasping, handling, or feeling, reach with arms, and communicate. Standing is required for up to 10 hours daily, involving continuous upper body movement. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
