Job Title HVAC Chiller Service Technician
Job Summary Performs maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and retrofits on air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers and boilers (water/steam).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs routine and preventative maintenance on chillers and boilers.
Supports equipment such as chillers, compressors, purge units, cooling towers, pumps/motors, valves, boilers, and large unitary equipment.
Performs major repairs on chillers and boilers, including:
Following all EPA guidelines in recovering refrigerant, replacement of components, gaskets, seals and bearings.
Performing boiler inspections and PM teardowns per current state CT code guidelines.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Post‑secondary vocational or technical school diploma in HVAC or Refrigeration from an accredited institution, or a recognized apprenticeship program.
Must have a clean driving record.
Experience is a plus; NEMSI will train the right candidates.
EPA Certified.
