Primary Function Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and maintenance of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).

Responsibilities and Tasks

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts, and other necessary tasks to ensure machines are in optimal working condition.

Identify root cause of unexpected breakdowns and repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime.

Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, and order and install replacement parts for machines as needed.

Prepare reports documenting work performed.

Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.

Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.

Collaborate with department heads regarding new products and required modifications.

Implement necessary modifications and conduct test runs; confer with product manager regarding test results and make additional alterations as required.

Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead, or participate in solution implementation.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all mandatory areas to promote a zero-accident culture.

Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities

None. This is an individual contributor role.

Education and Certifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Vocational certificate in appropriate field (e.g., welding, maintenance, electrical) preferred.

Ability to take and pass internal required testing.

Experience and Skills

Mechanically inclined with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc., to diagnose problems with manufacturing equipment.

Good computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate program.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely, professional manner; multilingual strongly preferred.

Ability to handle and resolve most issues efficiently and effectively.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, plan, and maintain high attention to detail.

Strong customer‑centric attitude, high energy level, and sense of urgency.

Safety Requirements

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.

Wear required protective equipment in all mandatory areas.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend, and/or extended) as business needs require.

Ability to work in cold/humid or hot/dusty environments as needed.

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc.; ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

Must be able to visually inspect machines.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
