Position Summary
The Marathon Detroit Michigan Refinery has an opening for a pump mechanical mobile operator.
Pay and Benefits
$43.77/hour with scheduled annual increases
Company sponsored annual bonus with target of 6% of eligible wages

Key Responsibilities
Repair, troubleshoot, and install various kinds of rotating equipment, which includes centrifugal, axial, and reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm and positive displacement pumps, chemical injection pumps, and their associated turbine and motor drives
Able to utilize various precision measurement devices, and to interpret equipment drawings and schematics
Complete routine paperwork and data report forms regarding rotating equipment condition, repairs, and measurements, as well as abiding to the work permit system and refinery safety standards
Maintain mobile equipment training for various types of mobile equipment such as: Man Lift, Telehandler, and Forklift
NCCCO fixed Cab Certification required within 9 months of starting date if the candidate does not already have the certification
Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma
Personnel with experience in operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines is preferred
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and be able to physically perform all tasks in the field
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must complete DOT physical
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship
Must pass both a written test and a hands-on skill demonstration test
