Preventative Maintenance Tech

Erickson Senior Living Location: Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living, Short Pump, VA Compensation: $25/hr, based on experience EPA Universal Certification required. Full‑time with benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k). Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on residential and public area heat pumps, including filter changes, visual inspections, and manufacturer‑recommended maintenance. Inspect condensate drain and pan, repair issues found, and add water treatment tablets. Check unit operation and lubricate the fan motor. Inspect all apartment smoke detectors. Complete all issued work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed and all prescribed/pertinent equipment information. Maintain proper levels of material/supplies necessary to ensure timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks. Perform additional duties requested by the Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance Manager, or Engineering Manager to ensure effective and efficient operation of the community. What You Will Need
Basic understanding of HVAC maintenance. Ability to adjust to new industry techniques and become familiar with new equipment as required. EPA 608 Universal Certification. Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Effective communication with residents and staff. Benefits
