Auto Glass Repair Specialist

Overview As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize our industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs, champion the Safelite Spirit, and bring unexpected happiness to customers.
Responsibilities
Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands on) following the Safelite Way of Fitting.
Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
Manage work orders, documentation and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform housekeeping tasks.
Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and standards.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive weekly base pay starting at $16.50/hour.
A benefits package valued at more than $10k* (401(k) plan with matching, medical coverage, PTO, etc.).
Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.
Paid training and all the tools and resources needed for success.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (Preferred).
Valid state-issued driver’s license (Required).
On-the-job training/completion of Safelite SafeTech™ certification (Required).
Experience Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills & Abilities
Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs; assist with windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist.
Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with laws and monitored via camera/video surveillance.
Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
Work safely outdoors in various weather conditions; handle chemicals.
Flexible schedule with start and end times to accommodate customers.
Problem‑solving and troubleshooting independently and collaboratively.
Read, write and interpret English and technical directions.
Communicate orally (phone) and written (computer or electronic).
Maintain professional appearance with company uniform and PPE.
Maintain stable performance under pressure.
Additional Information This position involves driving duties monitored by cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance. Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
