Job Title: Industrial Diesel Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered equipment used throughout our industrial operations. Your expertise will ensure that machinery performs at optimal levels to support productivity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and machinery to ensure operational efficiency. Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair actions to minimize downtime. Disassemble and reassemble engines and equipment components as necessary. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures and faults. Collaborate with equipment operators to understand and address mechanical concerns. Order and install replacement parts as needed to maintain equipment reliability. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, adhering to company policies and industry standards. Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, regulations, and environmental standards in every task performed. Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics and assist in their training and development. Stay updated with emerging technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical certifications in diesel mechanics or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and mechanical systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as necessary. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment and components, and conduct repairs in sometimes physically demanding environments. Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hands in tight spaces. Benefits:
