What You'll Do
Precision Machining: Learn to set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes to manufacture high‑quality, precision metal components according to strict specifications.
Quality Inspection: Accurately inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure adherence to engineering drawings/blueprints.
Troubleshooting: Develop the ability to recognize machining issues and learn to safely and effectively make necessary adjustments to machine offsets or parameters.
Operational Flexibility: Participate in cross‑training and be assigned duties such as operating a laser marker, performing light mechanical assembly, or other tasks as needed to meet customer demand.
Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in routine daily machine maintenance and upkeep activities.
Team Collaboration: Actively participate in all training programs and work collaboratively within the production team, maintaining flexibility with rotating assignments.
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a technical training program, vocational coursework, or related manufacturing certifications is a plus.
Demonstrated reading comprehension and math skills necessary for interpreting blueprints and performing calculations.
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn the proper use of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Basic computer skills and accurate data entry skills for recording production metrics and accessing machine information.
Prior exposure to or familiarity with G-code, CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) programming concepts, or specific control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Mazak) is a plus.
Ability to stand consistently for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift and safely handle up to 50 pounds.
Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on producing quality work.
