Description The Plasterer/Mason/Tile Setter performs journeyman‑level repairs and renovation work in the fields of lathing, stucco plastering, masonry, drywall finishing, and tile hard and soft wetting. Responsibilities include constructing code‑compliant structures and reading blueprints, coordinating work with other trades, assisting in planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance, handling paperwork for fixes and CM’s, and supporting inspection and critique of installations made by vendors.
Qualifications
3+ years experience as a Plasterer/Mason/Tile Setter, preferably in large plant operations.
Knowledge of code‑compliant construction of all phases of fire‑rated wall assemblies.
Capability to design and install superior finishes within a healthcare setting.
Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.
Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and record‑keeping.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
Working knowledge of hand tools pertinent to the trade and willingness/ability to perform minor repairs in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and general maintenance without supervision.
Familiarity with computers and related software (Windows OS) and applicable codes.
High School Diploma, GED or certificate; Valid Driver’s License.
