Work Hours Day shift (Mon - Fri / 7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Responsibilities

Perform paced inspections of final container products for multiple defect categories.

Document tasks on Batch Production Record (BPR), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), or other acceptable form.

Maintain housekeeping and comply with safety and cGMP policies.

Recertify visual inspection skills and use the PDA Lexicon for glass defects.

Set‑up, operate, troubleshoot packaging equipment, including vial labelers, cartoners, and shrink‑banding machines.

Manually package products and inspect pre‑packaged items for defects.

Perform an accurate count of pre‑ and post‑packaged products.

Operate material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).

Carry samples to Quality Labs for testing and handle the transfer of data via LIMS or SAP.

Document findings for rejected labeling per SOPs.

Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma; Packaging Operator/Inspector experience preferred (Tech I). For Tech II, 1 year of Packaging Inspector/Label Verification experience in pharma or biotech.

Annual vision testing for near vision and colorblindness; must pass initial visual inspection certification within 90 days of hire.

Knowledge of PDA Lexicon for glass defects and applicable SOPs.

Continuous, concentrated focus during packaging activities.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physically capable of lifting 15‑45 lbs, standing 6‑8 hrs, operating machinery, and performing repetitive hand movements.

Competence with or willingness to learn to use computers for data entry into LIMS, SAP, and other systems.

Must meet legal vision requirements: near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye.

Work Environment & Physical Demands Manufacturing environment with exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, electrical equipment, and noise. Confined spaces may be visited. Requires use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, safety shoes, gloves, garments). Occasional handling of chemical substances and exposure to extreme temperatures.
