GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The employee is responsible for the assembly of subassemblies, accessories, and final assemblies. Has knowledge in electrical and mechanical assembly. Assembles individual components in small to large assemblies. Uses hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools and equipment. Gains or has attained full proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the areas of assembly. Works independently within established procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to train peers
Advocate for Design for Assembly and Continuous Improvement ideas and suggestions
Electrical and Mechanical assembly of machines and machine options
Troubleshoot and repair assembly errors quickly and effectively
Ability to read and comprehend method sheets, work instructions, and basic engineering drawings
Provided feedback to cross functional manufacturing team
Follow directions from lead assembler and supervisor.
Accurately prepares paperwork as assigned.
Provides assistance during monthly and yearly physical inventory.
Utilizes, maintains and cares for all Sharp Packaging supplied tools.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.
COMPETENCIES
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
Has working knowledge of operations/manufacturing systems, MRP concepts, and MS office
High-energy, self-motivated team player with the ability to multi-task.
Experienced with material flow through a manufacturing facility
Willing to flex working hours to cover customer needs
Able to keep work areas clean following guidelines.
Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Meets productivity standards;
Completes work in timely manner.
Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School diploma, or GED equivalent desired; 10+ years related experience in a technically oriented position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
