Hands That Move Progress. Work That Matters. The Fabrication Machinist supports the day‑to‑day operations in Engineering Service Center (ESC) with the manufacturing and assembly of standard and custom customer orders. Duties include set up and operating horizontal bandsaw and industrial equipment to cut threaded rod, strut, and other materials to customer and internal quality specifications. The machine operator performs required quality and maintenance checks and minor/routine equipment maintenance as needed. Assists with assembly and prefabrication of product for customer orders.

What You'll do

Follow standard processes to build and produce standard and custom products to defined specifications in production paperwork and project documentation

Perform product modifications and product packaging to PBL (Project Business Logistics) specifications

Execute defined quality and maintenance checks, and participate in minor equipment maintenance as needed

Perform material handling tasks associated with working in a production-type environment

Package and stage completed product for shipment

Maintain active equipment spare parts inventory

Keep work area, tools, and equipment organized and in working order

Actively engage and contribute to department continuous improvement activities

Operate laser cutting Tubelaser 3000

Assist in debugging operating or programming problems with high laser cut quality parts

Work and be familiar with measuring tools, e.g., callipers, tape measures, protractors, etc.

Assist in CNC areas' operational activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables

Maintain CNC machine, area and other tools in good condition by performing 5s and TPM activities on a regular basis

What You'll Bring

High School Diploma or GED, required

Ability to perform basic arithmetic, read and convert between decimals and fractions, and use basic calculator

Intermediate mechanical aptitude, required

Forklift certification, required; training provided once hired if needed

Basic computer skills, required; SAP experience, preferred

Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and drawings
