Responsibilities
Support the startup and implementation of the brazing operation of a new production line in the existing Lincolnton, NC facility.
During startup, learn first‑hand the process and help develop local work instructions and standards. This position will require extended overseas travel for training.
Actively communicate with related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
Train and monitor new production associates working on the specified shift and provide timely and effective feedback when required.
Be responsible for loading/unloading, operating, adjusting, changing‑over, maintaining multiple machines, conducting 5S, and aiding in trouble‑shooting. Responsible to reach daily targets and to escalates in case of deviations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling is a plus.
3 to 5 years of previous experience in brazing processes (or similar).
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines, and technology.
Flexible to work different shifts, overtime.
Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours.
Proper hand dexterity.
Ability to read and follow instructions.
Ability to read and prepare orders.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Math skills appropriate to a machining environment.
Able to read product prints and check product to match.
Proficient in the use of measuring devices.
Setup machine using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
Identify and assess common problems with machine, trouble‑shooting.
Read and follow standard operating procedures.
Understand and follow procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
