Location: Bad Axe, MI – approximately 35 miles from Kingston, MI.

Position Overview As a Wind Site Technician, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines, addressing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues. Your work keeps local communities powered with clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.

Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.

Collaborate with the team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.

Document work and continuously improve operational processes.

Accurately time‑code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

At least six months with a Wind Technician certificate, or one year of wind turbine experience, or two years in mechanical or electrical fields.

Highly developed problem‑solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.

Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices.

Ability to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.

Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions and at heights.

Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.

High school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

Hearing ability to use telephones, radios or related devices.

Visual acuity including depth perception, field of vision, and color distinction.

Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed; hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Climb stairs and vertical ladders to heights of 60–100 m; supervise work in confined spaces.

Lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs.

Pursue required safety programs (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest & High Angle Rescue & Emergency Descent, Confined Space).

Participate in training courses, including controlled descent practical exercises.

Combined weight of employee, PPE and gear must not exceed 300 lbs; PPE may weigh up to 40 lbs.
