Under limited supervision, performs skilled electrical duties required to maintain and repair campus-wide electrical systems, installs electrical equipment, and remodels existing electrical services to support campus departments.
Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
South Carolina Journeyman Electrical license
Driver’s license required.
Knowledge of electricity, circuits and wiring. Ability to install and maintain electrical systems in campus buildings.
Ability to use electrical tools/meters to check and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
Understanding of protective clothing, equipment and general safety procedures.
