Job Overview NGSG has an immediate opening for a

Rebuild Mechanic . The role requires experience rebuilding reciprocating compressors and/or industrial engines. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical issues, reading milling equipment (micrometers and calipers), interpreting prints to determine replacement parts, and providing written reports to management.

Location: Onsite in Catoosa, OK. Job type: Full‑time.

Essential Job Functions

Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble reciprocating engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.

Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, calipers) to assess part dimensions and integrity.

Collaborate with team members to analyze inspection results and develop effective repair plans.

Handle, store, and organize components to prevent damage or loss.

Perform reassembly of repaired or replaced components according to technical specifications and quality standards.

Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.

Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts as required.

Adhere to safety regulations and company HSE procedures, including proper use of PPE.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Record parts and materials used, process requisitions, and report inventory needs.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues, read prints, and determine replacement parts needed.

Work overtime, nights, or weekends as required by management.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience rebuilding reciprocating compressors and/or industrial engines.

Proficient with precision measuring instruments and alignment tools.

Ability to read prints, understand technical specifications, and perform basic math functions.

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.

Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Must have own tools for the role.

Reliable transportation is required; relocation assistance not provided.

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Must be able to pass the background and MVR check, drug and alcohol screen, and physical exam.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift).

Lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and full body movement (e.g., climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching).

Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination are required to safely operate welding equipment and hand tools.

Visual acuity is necessary to read blueprints, measure components, and inspect welds for quality and accuracy.

Tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and fabrication shop conditions.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including welding hood, gloves, steel‑toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Hours 40 hours per week, four 10‑hour shifts. Overtime as needed on Fridays.
