Hours 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm with variable days, including rotating weekends.

Purpose Statement / Position Summary The Sterile Processing Tech II, in conjunction with the Operating Room Instrument Technician, is responsible for the inspection, preparation, and sterilization of instruments and instrument sets utilized in the Main Operating Room. Loads and unloads sterilizers.

Responsibilities

Inspect and prepare instruments and instrument sets for the Main Operating Room.

Load and unload sterilizers according to established protocols.

Maintain sterile processing area in compliance with patient safety standards.

Qualifications

2+ years surgical instrument preparation experience preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Current Central Service Technician Certification required; certification can be obtained within one year of employment with proof of 6 months working experience and completion of CS program and internship.

Pay Scale $44,117.00 – $72,478.00
