JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a reliable, team-focused Cabinet Assembler to support cabinet production operations at JR McDade. The Cabinet Assembler is primarily responsible for constructing and assembling Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) cabinets using fastening hardware and mechanical tools in a lean, assembly-line environment. This role also provides flexible support for material handling, receiving, sorting, organizing, and staging cabinet components as needed.
This position requires occasional assistance with loading and unloading materials and working with warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assemble RTA cabinets by accurately placing screws, fasteners, glue and hardware in designated locations to ensure structural integrity and quality.
Follow diagrams, written and verbal instructions, work orders, and manufacturer instructions to complete cabinet assembly.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including drills, glue guns and other fastening tools.
Inspect cabinet components prior to assembly and identify any damaged or missing materials.
Conduct final inspections to ensure assembled cabinets meet JR McDade quality standards.
Support lean assembly-line operations by maintaining efficiency and meeting daily production goals.
Assist with receiving, sorting, organizing, staging and collecting cabinet materials for assembly as needed.
Load and unload materials from trucks as needed.
Use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and, where certified, forklifts or cherry pickers to retrieve and move materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Report assembly issues, material damage, or quality concerns to the QA or Cabinet Production Manager.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience assembling RTA cabinets.
Experience working in a lean or production-based assembly line environment.
Forklift and/or cherry picker certification preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in an assembly environment, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to read and follow diagrams, work orders, and written/verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer- and quality-oriented mindset.
