Duct Installer – All Year Cooling
All Year Cooling and Plumbing is seeking a skilled and experienced Duct Installer to join our team. As a Duct Installer, you will be essential in the installation of ductwork systems for our valued customers. Your expertise in HVAC ductwork will ensure efficient airflow and optimal performance of our systems, enhancing customer comfort and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Install HVAC ductwork systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of ductwork.
Measure and cut ductwork components to the required dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment.
Assemble, join, and seal ductwork sections using welding, brazing, or mechanical fasteners to ensure airtightness.
Install insulation on ductwork to prevent heat transfer and condensation.
Perform airflow calculations and duct sizing to ensure proper system performance and efficiency.
Inspect existing ductwork systems for leaks, damage, or inefficiencies and recommend necessary repairs or improvements.
Collaborate with other HVAC technicians and contractors to coordinate ductwork installation with other system components.
Troubleshoot and diagnose ductwork-related issues, such as airflow restrictions or imbalances, and implement appropriate solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all ductwork installations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Duct Installer or similar role in the HVAC industry.
Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork systems, components, and installation techniques.
Familiarity with blueprints, drawings, and specifications related to ductwork installations.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for ductwork fabrication and installation.
Understanding of airflow principles and calculations, duct sizing, and pressure balancing.
Ability to interpret and apply relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve ductwork‑related issues.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
Valid driver's license.
