Job Overview We are looking for a skilled electrical assembler to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the assembly of our product. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This position is responsible for safely performing high-level continuous work to quality standards. Assignments may change based on business demands.

Responsibilities

Performs all mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and package assembly

and

some electrical, instrumentation and control elements of the package, and functional test set up including in-process quality checks and tests.

Performs disassembly and rebuild of air ends or sensitive rotating assemblies.

Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material, and quality control documents.

Takes responsibility for quality and work content performed in the applicable operation by signing off on the appropriate documentation before indexing to the next step in process.

Ensures that all tools used in performing job duties are within calibration, as stated on calibration sticker. Where discrepancies arise, immediate notification of supervisor occurs.

Performs job duties with limited supervision.

Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work area and follows all safety rules and procedures.

Identifies safety concerns and drives successful resolution.

Assists in the training of other department personnel as required.

Uses problem-solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly). Capable of performing disassembly and rebuild of air ends or sensitive rotating assemblies.

Exhibits a high degree of manual dexterity with great attention to detail and workmanship.

Uses calipers, dial indicators, precision measuring devices.

Participates in departmental projects as needed (e.g., Lean initiatives, restructuring the cell layout, continuous improvement).

Performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

At least 1 year of experience in the assembly of equipment with a high degree of precision.

Key Competencies

Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies, and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.

Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.

Ability to identify routine problem causation, correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.

Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.

Team oriented; must have the ability to work cohesively with others.

Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.

Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.

Capability to pull/push tubs, up to a maximum of 50 lbs.

Regularly lift up to 35 lbs.

Normal noise in areas could range from 75-87 dBA; hearing protection is optional in these areas.

Preferences

1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Formal training from technical or trade school.

Strong problem-solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material and quality control documents.

Ability to use correct tooling, fixturing and equipment to perform work tasks to engineering specifications.

Ability to function in a flexible team environment.

Formal training from technical or trade school is desired.

Physical capability to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear continuously for 8-10 hours per day and occasionally on a sixth working day.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements This position will be based at our site in Mocksville, NC, with no anticipated travel.
