Main missions
Adjusts and prepares production tools and resources to carry out machining operations using dedicated machining equipment (conventional or numerical) according to production safety, cost, quality and time requirements, and in compliance with HSE rules.
Machines pre-production items and prototypes, follows established controls to validate the first items manufactured in a production run.
Detects machinig faults and seeks corrective action.
Ensures the required tracibility (product / process), and reports on their work.
Set up, adjust and operate machines.
Perform quality control inspections; follow set up sheets and instructions
Edit programs as necessary
Evaluate and perform tool changes
Maintain cleanliness of the work area
Promote and emphasize safety at all times.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED, preferred
Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with decimals / fractions
Use of basic measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, etc)
Ability to read blueprints
Capable of standing for long periods of time
Good interpersonal skills
