Job Summary

Responsibilities
Demonstrate and promote a safe work environment, holding the team accountable for a best‑in‑industry safety culture.
Audit and observe to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards; own Quality Control compliance in the assigned area.
Analyze equipment operations, performance, and problems, securing resources to resolve issues quickly and correctly.
Operate tram cab, high‑lift, and other transport machinery to deliver materials to presses; operate lift trucks throughout the plant.
Perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment or partner with maintenance to resolve equipment changes and problems.
Actively participate in report‑out and production meetings.
Effectively receive and decipher both ambiguous and detailed instructions; provide innovative solutions independently or as part of a team.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Physical activity: more than 2/3 of the time standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, hearing, tasting or smelling; less than 1/3 sitting.
Lifting: up to 10 lbs more than 2/3 of the time; more than 100 lbs less than 1/3 of the time.
Vision: accurate close, distance, color and peripheral vision, including focus adjustment.
Environment: more than 2/3 of the time near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions; 1/3 to 2/3 of the time in wet or humid conditions, extreme heat or cold, or exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; less than 1/3 in an office setting, high places, at risk of electrical shock, or near vibration.
Noise: requires working in very loud conditions (over 85 decibels).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous forklift experience (preferred).
Understanding of basic safety/OSHA standards.
Some mechanical aptitude.
Some manufacturing experience helpful.
