Job Title: Drywall Taper We are seeking experienced Tapers/Finishers with a level 5 classification or higher. Join our team to deliver high-quality drywall finishing services across various locations.

Responsibilities

Layout and install drywall beads.

Prepare all drywall surfaces to receive finish products.

Mix, carry, and apply joint compound to finishes.

Tape, coat, finish, and sand joint compound ready for decoration.

Hand or machine texture walls or ceilings as per plans and specifications.

Clean up, protect, and move materials, tools, and equipment.

Erect and dismantle scaffolds.

Adhere to all safety rules and regulations per OSHA standards.

Calculate unit costs based on material quantity, hours worked, and labor dollars.

Arrive on time at various work locations.

Attend and participate in all required company training programs.

Conform to all company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

3+ years of experience specifically in taping and finishing.

Proficiency in drywall finishing, sheetrock, tape, plaster, spackle, trowels, sanding, and mudding.

Experience with commercial and industrial jobs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability and willingness to learn company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.

Knowledge of tools, materials, and equipment for finish carpentry projects.

Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Ability to accurately measure materials and follow directions.

Capability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and stilts.

Teamwork skills with frequent one-on-one and group activity involvement.

Physical ability to lift over 100 lbs occasionally and 50-60 lbs frequently.

Reaching above shoulder height with materials and tools regularly.

Capability to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods.

Work Environment Work at new commercial construction sites, including TSMC and Data Centers. Be open to commuting to various job sites across the valley, with efforts made to assign locations near your home. Expect 40+ hour work weeks in a dusty, loud, and dirty environment. Work involves heights on scissor lifts and scaffolding, with hot conditions in summer and cooler temperatures in winter.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $30.20/hr.
