Position Overview We are seeking a Crane Mechanic for the 2nd shift. The role involves operating finished cranes under field conditions, evaluating performance, troubleshooting malfunctions, determining rework, and adjusting or replacing components as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate cranes under field conditions and evaluate performance; troubleshoot to determine malfunctions.
Analyze problems and determine corrective actions; verify rework conforms to machine specifications. Document all findings.
Ensure main functions are consistently performed to design specifications before release to Quality.
Perform sales order changes.
Assist in development and use of visual management techniques and adhere to standardized processes.
Collaborate with support personnel—Production Engineering, Maintenance, and related departments—to improve work area through kaizen activities and other initiatives.
Follow all procedures related to storage and consumption of Point-of-Use material as detailed in relevant QWI's.
Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.
Safety, Security and Environmental responsibilities: Use equipment and materials properly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area per “5 S” principles.
Observe safety, security, and environmental procedures.
Report potentially unsafe conditions or situations.
General Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Three years of related assembly or mechanical experience involving heavy equipment.
Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
