Propane Service Technician *$3,000 Sign on Bonus*
Energy North Group is hiring a Propane Service Technician with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. This is a full‑time hourly position, rated $28.00 to $40.00 per hour.
Job Summary Propane Service Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial heating systems, tanks, and piping.
Specific Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair tanks, piping, heating equipment, and appliances at customer sites.
Communicate with dispatchers, maintaining schedules and informing customers of delays.
Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, test measurements, and pictures.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical service issues.
Explain diagnoses and resolutions to customers in concise terms.
Convey company pricing and services to customers.
Obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems, and thoroughly test components.
Identify and report opportunities for additional business.
Obtain customer signatures and accurate contact information.
Notify dispatchers of any issues that require repair or could compromise delivery.
Maintain proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
Maintain the company vehicle, including cleaning, refueling, and reporting mechanical issues.
Participate in company‑provided training on industry technologies.
Execute other tasks assigned by the Propane Service Manager.
Requirements
Minimum three years of propane service experience (trainees are waived if they obtain proper trainee credentials).
Relevant licensing: NH Gas Fitter License (preferably with Service Technician endorsement), NH Master Plumber License, MA LP Installer, MA Master Plumber License, ME Propane and Natural Gas Technician. Licenses waived for trainees who obtain trainee credentials.
Clean MA/NH/ME driving record.
Understanding of blueprints, plans, and manuals.
Ability to pass company‑provided drug, alcohol, and physical tests.
Availability for flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on‑call shifts.
FLSA Status Hourly, non‑exempt position. Electronic timekeeping required.
