Base Pay Range $85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Job Title QA/QC- Process Piping - CWI

Summary Quality Control inspection and associated documentation of Process Piping systems within a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate compliance of OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, and inspect all fabricated and installed piping, mechanical equipment, skids, modular systems, and components per project specifications.

Review and approve Quality Plans, ITPs, PQR, WPS, WPQ, inspection procedures, and records for installed pipe, including weld map log, PMI, slope checks, traceability logs, and other associated records.

Inspect mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for alignment and proper functioning, prepare reports, and notify appropriate people of equipment problems and deficiencies, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Ensure all valves, tubing, fittings, instruments, and components are submitted and approved in accordance with project drawings and specifications.

Retain records for NDE personnel qualifications/certifications for approval and review.

Verify subcontractor inspectors are qualified to perform their assigned inspections per project specifications.

Initiate and update Surveillance Reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) from adverse findings during inspections.

Participate in turnover package documentation.

Perform periodic quality checks for all welding performed to ensure procedures are followed.

Verify welders are certified to perform their assigned work per project specifications and the welder qualification list.

Monitor subcontractors’ Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQR) for rejected welders, notifying the Contractor of trends or risks to the project.

Requirements

Complete understanding of semiconductor process systems, including ultra‑high purity and oxygen‑clean stainless steel systems, and ability to inspect pipe/tube welds and systems.

Knowledge of all field and workshop fabrication/construction protocols and methods, including industry standard specifications, testing, and acceptance.

Experience and knowledge of processed piping systems.

Ability to read P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).

CWI or NDT VT LVL 2 required.

Familiarity with B31.3 and ASME Section 9.

Computer skills: MS Office, Bluebeam, PowerPoint.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Occasionally ( 2/3).

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hand and finger dexterity.

Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.

Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, or fumes/airborne particles/chemicals.

Noise level usually moderate.

Occasional lifting or moving >20 pounds.

Specific vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception; adjust focus.

Must wear PPE: protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel‑toed shoes, hearing protection, respirators.

Must safely access and traverse indoor/outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including ladders, stairs, catwalks, uneven surfaces.
