Purpose for the Position Perform skilled work involving carpentry under the direction of area supervisor and/or lead man in assigned department, including but not limited to Assembly, Framing, Trim Work and Door Assembly.
Essential Job Functions
Play key role in department metrics including safety; cost; quality and delivery.
Verify conformance of finished goods.
Ensure quality in every task performed.
Build product to design specification utilizing drawings.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to all company general and safety policies.
Marginal Job Functions
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to carry out not only simple but complex oral and written instructions.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read and understand English sufficiently.
Ability to operate hand tools including but not limited to drills, grinders, heat guns, rivet guns.
Ability to comprehend additional training in relation to the performing of the work duties.
Ability to cross train and perform many different tasks across multiple departments.
High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to perform the work activities safely and productively.
Physical Demands Most of the work tasks are performed indoors and subjected to environmental and weather condition changes. Must bend, squat, lift, push or pull material up to 50 lbs frequently.
Hours
8 or more hours per day
40 or more hours per week
Half hour lunch break
Stands 100% of the time
Shop is not air-conditioned

Qualifications Standards
Prior experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
Performance Standards
The ability to communicate effectively with and work with other personnel.
Proper operation of equipment.
Visual observation and periodic verification.
