We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Salina, KS.
About The Role You will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components to create high-quality products. You will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with other team members to ensure production goals are met.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of welding experience (Arc, Spot, MIG, TIG, controlled atmosphere, plasma cutting) or equivalent technical training/certification
Ability to maintain good attendance
Knowledge of welding techniques and ability to read blueprints
Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to clearly convey detailed information to co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers
Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to relationships
Ability to read and interpret job orders, procedure manuals, and schematics
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Strong attention to detail, quality and organizational skills
Skill in fabrication, joining and repair of various metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures
Ability to use department equipment such as forklift, ladder/scaffold, overhead crane, and power tools
Responsibilities
Weld level 2 complex parts within router time with little to no supervision
Layout or load level 2 weld assemblies/components into fixtures
Set and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds, and gas settings to produce quality welds
Visually inspect all weld requirements for penetration and porosity
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; secure tools, materials, and equipment at end of day
Ensure work orders are properly followed and completed in a timely fashion
Physical Demands And Work Environment Employees are required to talk, hear, stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands.
