Summary Works under general supervision of the foreman and is responsible to assure the proper, safe, efficient, timely completion of landscape installation projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver license (a plus).
Some ability to read, write and comprehend English.
Ability to read, write and comprehend Spanish (a plus).
Mathematical skills (basic to intermediate math).
Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interpretation of blueprints, schematics, specifications, materials, take‑offs, and build/controller charts.
Layout, installation, piping and control wiring.
Installation of landscape, paths, fences, courtyards, structures.
Operation, care, use and maintenance of all hand tools, power tools and construction equipment related to trade.
Application of methods and techniques for handling, distributing, storage and delivery of material and equipment.
Soil amendments, treatment and tilling.
Layout, installation and establishment of plants, trees, shrubs, ground covers, turf, plant identification, etc.
Application of job safety, rigging and moving loads.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk safely on construction sites, including uneven ground.
Must be able to see at close, distant, periphery, have depth perception and adjust focus.
Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Duties performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. of weight frequently throughout the day.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift, push and pull materials and equipment to complete tasks.
Ability to frequently work in various positions (standing, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting) for extended periods.
Pay Range $20.00/hr – $25.00/hr (base pay). Compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
