Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently provide the manual labor required to operate equipment on the drilling rig floor.
Operate tongs and use drilling slips to assemble and disassemble drilling pipe and collars.
Operate hoists to raise and lower equipment and personnel.
Use hand tools, sledge hammers, and large pipe wrenches to maintain and repair equipment.
Participate in repairing, maintaining, and cleaning rig equipment, including chipping, painting, moving equipment, mixing chemicals, and greasing, oiling, and washing equipment, walls, and floors.
Perform tasks under the close supervision of the Driller.
