Machinist (Maintenance Machine Repair) Milwaukee, WI

Join the skilled trades team in Brewery Operations. You will be responsible for set‑up, repair, adjustment, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and rebuilding of packaging equipment. You support the packaging team on allocated lines and shifts to maintain optimum equipment reliability, availability, output rate, and quality at the lowest cost.

Shift: 2nd (Mon‑Fri 3‑11) or 3rd (Mon‑Sat 11‑7). Must be comfortable on either shift.

This position reports to Asset Care Manager and works closely with Brewery Workers, Mechanics, and Electricians.

Salary: $44.38/hour (+$0.50 for 2nd shift, +$0.55 for 3rd shift) and starts with 2 weeks of vacation.

The Responsibilities

Maintain the equipment in the assigned area in reliable condition.

Attend to breakdowns in a timely manner while continuously reducing downtime and waste.

Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild mechanical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements.

Work as a self‑motivated individual with minimal supervision while functioning as a productive team member.

Document all work performed using the current maintenance computer system and use this information to make decisions to improve the reliability of the equipment and process.

Other duties as assigned.

The Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and at least 21 years of age.

Completed State of Wisconsin indentured apprentice program in Machine Repair, Machinist, Maintenance Mechanic, Tool and Die, or equivalent.

Comfortable working the 2nd or 3rd shift.

Demonstrated skills in machining and fabricating, such as mills, lathes and other shop equipment.

Demonstrated skills in hydraulic/pneumatic systems, pumps, laser alignment, power transmission, precision measuring tools.

Ability to read equipment assembly drawings.
