Join our Field Operations team as a Plumber Crew Leader – Construction Crew Leader and oversee critical water and sewer projects.
Position Plumber Crew Leader – Construction Crew Leader
City of Fort Wayne – Field Operations/WPCM
Pay:
$29 – $32 per hour
Schedule:
7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
What You'll Do
Supervise and direct a construction crew in water distribution and sewer/storm collection systems
Oversee excavations, repair leaks, replace pipe sections, install new assets, and handle valves from 4"–24"
Perform plumbing work including soldering copper pipe and meter sets
Operate and direct heavy equipment and trucks as needed
Ensure jobsite safety, compliance with OSHA standards, and proper documentation of daily work
Train and mentor crew members
Must-Have Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
4 years' experience in heavy equipment construction
Valid Indiana driver's license; CDL with "A" endorsement within 180 days
Certified Competent Person: Excavation/Trench & Confined Space (must obtain within 90 days of start)
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.
