Modern Mechanical Services LLC
Modern Mechanical Services is expanding and looking for an experienced Master Plumber to lead our new Plumbing Division. The role offers ownership, field leadership, and the potential to grow into a management or office‑based position as the division scales.
What You’ll Do
Perform commercial plumbing service, repairs, and installations across the Dallas‑Fort Worth market.
Lead onsite troubleshooting, diagnostics, and code‑compliant repairs.
Help design and implement the foundation of our plumbing division, including workflow, standards, and best practices.
Provide guidance and mentorship to future licensed plumbers and apprentices as the team grows.
Work with leadership to build service offerings, pricing structures, and operational processes.
Oversee permitting, inspections, and code compliance for all plumbing‑related work.
Coordinate with HVAC/R teams on multi‑trade projects and commercial buildouts.
Maintain accurate job documentation using our service software platform.
What We Provide
Competitive compensation aligned with experience, leadership ability, and the opportunity to grow with a new division.
A comprehensive benefits package, including company‑paid health insurance options, dental, vision, and additional supplemental coverages.
A company truck, fuel card, uniforms, PPE, and the major tools needed to perform high‑quality, safe work every day.
Modern technology and service software (ServiceTrade) to simplify documentation, improve communication, and support efficient job management.
Dedicated internal support including dispatch, operations, project management, and accounting—so you can focus on the work, not the paperwork.
A unique chance to help build and lead Modern’s plumbing division, with real influence over processes, pricing, workflows, and long‑term strategy.
Ongoing training and development to advance licensing, technical skills, and leadership capabilities.
A strong, team‑focused culture where technicians are respected, supported, and trusted.
Reliable, consistent work across DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, powered by a rapidly expanding multi‑site customer base.
Education and Experience
Valid Texas Master Plumber License (required).
At least 5 years of commercial plumbing service and installation experience (preferred).
Experience with commercial fixtures, water heaters, gas systems, pumps, pipefitting, underground, and code‑compliant repairs.
Ability to interpret plumbing construction plans, specifications, and schematics for proper installation and repair.
Strong understanding of Texas plumbing codes, permitting, inspections, and safety requirements.
Experience mentoring or leading apprentices or technicians (plus).
Interested in helping build and lead a new plumbing division—not just joining one.
Comfortable starting in a field‑based role with a clear path toward office/leadership responsibilities.
Skills and Abilities
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability with commercial plumbing systems.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, test gauges, and measurement devices used in plumbing service.
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate electronic documentation of work performed, materials used, and labor hours.
Clear and professional communication skills with customers and internal teams.
Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to collaborate with HVAC/R teams on multi‑trade projects and represent Modern Mechanical Services professionally in the field.
