Shop Welder/Fabricator
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding metal components and parts using specialized equipment, including gas welders and torches. Responsibilities include using electrical currents to generate heat for bonding metals, interpreting blueprints to plan work, and conducting quality inspections on welded surfaces to ensure compliance with specifications. Proficiency in
GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum and stainless steel
and
GMAW (MIG) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
is essential for this role.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Examines detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements.
Cuts, rolls, shapes, bends, molds, spins, heats, or hammers metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies.
Sets up and/or operates hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment.
Assembles parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding or bolting.
Performs routine inspections on assigned equipment and notifies supervisor of defects or needed repairs.
Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment.
Possibility to learn to run computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
Position Requirements
Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role.
Physically capable of handling heavy materials, tools and machines.
Must obtain the necessary training and certification prior to operating any equipment.
Must maintain a valid driver's license or transportation to and from work.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work independently with little direction when applicable.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to read drawings.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to pass a weld test.
