Maintenance Technician Day Shift, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

$1,500 Sign On Bonus for qualified candidates!

Responsibilities

Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.

Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and troubleshoot using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, and instructions.

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines using testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision–measuring instruments.

Install, maintain, and repair equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy; test circuits and replace or install new power, light, electronic, and control circuits.

Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspect circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.

Repair complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, and alarms.

Work from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.

Utilize PLC to troubleshoot faults with automated lines to determine cause and corrective measures.

Improvise acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.

Assist engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.

Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation.

Follow a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime.

Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety policies.

Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group; assist other areas as required.

Continuously review current processes and search for improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work.

Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals; contribute to team decision making and provide support in project work and other special requests.

Provide support to the production team to produce superior quality materials that meet or exceed client needs.

Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

3–5 years of previous experience.

Certifications in specialty areas required as applicable or acquire within specified timing any licenses necessary to perform the job.

Electrical certification/training or 3–5 years of experience.

PLC certification/training or 3–5 years of experience.

Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills, and logical problem‑solving skills.

Good verbal and written communication.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a highly participating work system.

Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner.

Motivation toward productivity improvements, safety, and quality awareness.

Preferred:

AutoCAD proficiency.

Associate Degree or better in Manufacturing or Electrical disciplines.

Proficiency in using PLCs to troubleshoot and diagnose to root cause.
