Position Title: Swiss Machinist-Aerospace Manufacturing (Days) – 1st Shift – Flexible Work Hours
Base Pay Range:
$28.00/hr – $36.00/hr

We are seeking skilled Horizontal Milling (Makino) System Machinists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Horizontal Milling machines, be able to read and interpret blueprints, set up and operate Horizontal machines, and perform quality checks on finished products.

Position Summary The Swiss Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Swiss‑style lathes to produce precision aerospace components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Swiss‑style turning centers for precision machining of aerospace components.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T drawings, and process sheets.
Select, install, and adjust tooling, collets, and fixtures for optimal performance.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations.
Perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements per aerospace standards.
Troubleshoot and correct issues with programs, tooling, or setups.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and lean principles.
Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years operating and setting up CNC Swiss‑style lathes in a precision manufacturing environment; aerospace or medical device industry experience strongly preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited machinist apprenticeship or technical program preferred.
Skills:
Proficient with G‑code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi).
Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
Ability to hold tight tolerances (+/– .0001").
Familiarity with titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, and aluminum.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
