Join a team that powers grids and supports defense. Why you’ll love it here
Impact: Your machining helps keep the nation’s power grid strong and defense platforms mission‑ready. People: Work with craftspeople who take pride in doing things right the first time. Growth: Learn, stretch, and master new processes in a collaborative shop. What you’ll do
Machine and inspect parts and tooling from detailed blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions. Run mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and VTLs; complete precise setups and light repairs. Use algebra, geometry, and shop math to calculate offsets, clearances, and fits. Measure with micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and surface gauges to hold specification. Keep your area organized and hazard‑free while meeting quality and throughput targets. What you bring
Trade school/community college credential; or 2+ years related experience/training; or equivalent background. Ability to read/interpret technical procedures plus company, customer, and governmental specs and regulations. Hands‑on familiarity with Okuma, Hyundai, Bullard VTL, and Fanuc controls (or similar). Strong communicator who can present information and field questions from managers and peers. Knowledge of bearing‑related manufacturing/repair, cutting fluids, finishes, tolerances, turning, drilling, milling, and abrasive processes. Understanding of steels, nonferrous metals, and common alloys. Confidence reading complex technical drawings. Manual machining proficiency is required; military experience is a plus. Pay and schedule
