Job Summary The Equipment Distribution Technician works under the direction of the Equipment Distribution Director to clean, transport, and maintain par levels of medical devices. The role requires basic verification of mobile medical equipment operations and the ability to evolve into a Biomedical Equipment Technician. Travel within assigned regions is expected.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform proper cleaning and infection control procedures.
Transport patient care equipment and supplies within allotted time.
Conduct basic operations checks on equipment before distribution.
Deliver and set up required equipment.
Return equipment to the Equipment Distribution department after pick‑up.
Inspect equipment for proper preventative maintenance and deliver out‑of‑date items to Clinical Engineering.
Complete all required trainings.
Notify nursing staff of equipment pick‑ups and deliveries.
Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments and customers to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns.
Show flexibility to work augmented shifts based on unit needs and client contractual requirements.
Qualifications
Ability to perform essential functions of the role with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Proficiency in cleaning, transport, and basic equipment checks.
Strong communication skills for interacting with nursing staff and clinical departments.
Willingness to travel regionally and adapt to shift flexibility.
