Family Law Paralegal (Hybrid – Bellevue, WA)
Amaya Family Law —a nationally recognized, growth-oriented firm—seeks an experienced paralegal to join our team. This is a full‑time position. This position will be hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office. The successful candidate will support a lead attorney and will receive administrative support from a Document Clerk and Legal Assistant to manage scheduling and file organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Draft, file, and serve routine pleadings, documents, and correspondence.
Assist with drafting discovery requests, including deposition notices, subpoenas, interrogatories, and requests for admission.
Utilize FamilySoft and SupportCalc for drafting pleadings and running child‑support calculations and scenarios.
Utilize Clio for case management, billing, and client expense tracking.
Assist with drafting trial materials, including ER 904 Notice, Witness and Exhibit List, Joint Statement of Evidence, trial subpoenas, and motions in limine.
Assist the attorney with responding to interrogatories and requests for production.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the attorney.
Qualifications:
At least one year of family‑law paralegal experience, including case‑management duties.
Familiarity with King County and Snohomish County jurisdictions.
Knowledge of RCW Title 26 and RCW Title 11.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Capacity to take direction, work as a team member, and follow office protocols.
Proficiency in tracking time in billing software.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
High proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with FamilySoft and/or SupportCalc is a plus.
Experience with Clio is a plus.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and creative thinking.
Curiosity, motivation, and a robust work ethic.
Ability to maintain humility and humor while delivering exceptional client and team service.
