Litigation Paralegal (Spanish Speaking) – Summer 2026 Start Join Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as a Litigation Paralegal, beginning summer 2026, and contribute your fluency in Spanish to a global litigation practice.

We seek full‑time Litigation Paralegals who can provide responsive support to our litigation/disputes practice, including securities litigation, M&A litigation, sovereign arbitration, antitrust, bankruptcy, white‑collar defense, intellectual property, and pro‑bono cases.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of document management, maintaining case files per the firm’s policy.

Support lawyers with preparation of court pleadings and filings, including proofreading, cite‑checking, bluebooking, and shepardizing.

Collaborate with the Discovery Group on discovery and trial preparation, coding documents, maintaining databases and logs, and preparing witness binders and trial notebooks.

Facilitate on‑site support for depositions, hearings, and trials.

Conduct research using Lexis, Westlaw, internet, and site visits.

Translate Spanish‑language documents accurately and serve as an interpreter for Spanish‑speaking clients, witnesses, and attorneys.

Review and analyze Spanish‑language correspondence to identify information relevant to case strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; minimum 3.3 GPA.

Fluency or native proficiency in Spanish: speaking, reading, writing, listening.

Demonstrated ability to translate documents between Spanish and English with accuracy.

Proactive learner with strong time‑management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication in English and Spanish; strong written and verbal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Strong research skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as required.

Optional additional foreign languages (Portuguese, French, Italian) a plus.

Willingness to commit to a two‑year position.

The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary offered depends on factors such as experience, education, and role responsibilities. This role is non‑exempt and eligible for overtime pay.
