Position Summary
Paralegal for a local firm will provide advanced support to the legal team, leveraging extensive practical knowledge to manage cases, conduct substantive legal work, and ensure smooth operations under the supervision of a licensed attorney. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Filing & E‑Filing
Client & Witness Communication
Trial & Hearing Support
Attention to Detail
Case Management & Organization: Manage cases from inception to post‑trial, including organizing and maintaining complex digital and physical case files, exhibits, and evidence logs.
Document Drafting & Preparation: Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, wills, and correspondence, for attorney review.
Administrative Support: Manage attorney calendars and deadlines, coordinate travel arrangements, handle billing and invoice processing, and perform general office management tasks as needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Proven Experience: Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, typically 3 years plus in civil litigation or a specialized field (e.g., family law, real estate, corporate, personal injury).
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication interacting with diverse parties.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in legal database software (Westlaw, LexisNexis), case management systems (Clio), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Organizational & Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines, working efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
Legal Knowledge: A thorough understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court systems.
