At Regions, the Legal Assistant supports attorneys and other legal professionals by conducting operational processes. This associate gathers and arranges information or other legal documents for reporting and/or governmental filings.
Primary Responsibilities
Produces reports and documents on behalf of attorneys, in accordance with established filing requirements, rules, and statutes; revising when necessary
Researches relevant filing requirements, rules, and statutes to ensure proper filings
Generates data compilations to support development and analysis of reporting and/or filings
Collaborates with legal attorneys, regulators, and other staff to prepare, review, and summarize various reports
Conducts operational processes and reviews procedures routinely, making appropriate modifications when necessary, and develops new procedures to improve the quality of service to legal and regulatory staff operations
Provides administrative support to attorneys and paralegals when needed, including correspondence with internal or external parties
Organizes and maintains complex documents and data pertaining to legal operations and preserves all files in a logical and readily accessible manner.
Maintain strong relationships with key internal parties in support of the legal entity and regulatory reporting
Retrieves information from bank systems or prior documentation when needed
Acts as a liaison between the legal department and other intersecting departments within the bank
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience
Or High School Diploma and nine (9) year of related experience
Preferences
Prior experience in a Legal setting
Skills and Competencies
Ability to work independently
Proficient in data entry
Ability to learn and utilize new systems and technologies
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint, etc)
Outstanding attention to detail
Outstanding research, writing and verbal communication skills
Strong time management
Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

50th Percentile:
$102,770.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
