About UC Blue Ash The Allied Health Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for our Adjunct faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed).
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The college is in Blue Ash, Ohio fifteen miles north of the uptown campus, on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. We value excellent teaching and personalized student support to help students achieve their goals, whether the goal is to enter a career or to continue education. Job Overview Allied Health Adjunct Faculty responsibilities include: Teaching associate level courses in introductory health professions, medical terminology, and/or pathophysiology.
Adjunct faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems; (2) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; and (3) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
Courses may be offered day or evening, in face-to-face, hybrid or online formats. Teaching is assigned on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.
This position is not eligible for visa or green card sponsorship. This position is considered to be under 20 hours per week for employment authorization purposes.
Essential Functions
On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in an allied health or related field.
Required Experience Minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience within allied health field.
Additional Qualifications Considered A minimum of one (1) year of successful classroom teaching experience in course content area.
