Casey Auto Group's Collision Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Scratch and Dent Technician
with
Paint Experience
to join our busy Body Shop team. If you have a passion for auto body repair and take pride in restoring vehicles to their pristine condition, we want to hear from you!
This role is critical for repairing vehicles for
new, used, and customer-pay repairs . You'll work closely with a Body Shop Advisor, checking in each morning and reporting back at the end of the day. This is a full-time position, 40-45 hours per week. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, and some Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation & Refinishing:
Decontaminating surfaces for refinishing.
Preparing
steel, aluminum, and plastic parts
for refinishing.
Masking surfaces and jams.
Removing unwanted finishes and applying
spots and blends
for small used car paint repairs.
Minor Repair & Restoration:
Performing
dent repair , including
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
techniques.
Repairing
windshield star and bulls-eye cracks .
Repairing
interior vinyl and leather damage .
Repairing and refinishing wheels.
Removing and replacing
emblems, pinstripes, decals, and moldings .
Administrative & Safety:
Reading and writing estimates and understanding the repair process.
Invoicing tickets
for repairs daily and ensuring all work is properly approved and documented with a Purchase Order before submission.
Attending all shop safety meetings and strictly following all company safety procedures, including the proper use of safety equipment (safety glasses, respirators, etc.).
Understanding
MSDS sheets
and the proper handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certification:
ASE and I-CAR training is required.
Proficiency with proper tools, safety equipment, and the entire refinishing and repair process.
Paint experience.
Must have a
valid driver's license
and a good driving record.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
