Job Summary The Zone Lead (ZL) supports merchandising in designated zones and maintains an active selling culture by ensuring that all visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards designed to drive sales. Provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of all in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look / flash finds) that reinforce seasons / holidays and in-store promotions within their designated areas. The Zone Lead influences store Team Members to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards while always demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Zone Lead supports all aspects of the visual merchandising processes for the store by planning, in conjunction with the Zone Manager, and leading transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while maintaining visual integrity and a clean, organized environment.
Oversees task management by planning and executing daily/weekly workload in partnership with the Zone Manager to deliver visual merchandising, department and store sales goals.
Participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions; processes freight and stocks designated areas including down stocking and endcap maintenance.
Supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention expense control, and customer experience; participates in regular meetings/huddles.
Serves as a role model and coach in all visual merchandising areas; provides continuous learning opportunities to all.
Leverages daily interactions to communicate and teach/train visual priorities and create visual moments that support the customer experience.
Reviews store financial and business data from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and acts within assigned zones to improve metrics.
Ensures maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone and keeps the store up to date with current signing and sets.
All other duties are based on business needs.

Qualifications & Competencies
At least 18 years old.
High School Diploma / Equivalent.
Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or team lift 100 lbs.
Ability to interpret visual merchandising presentations and adapt them to the store environment.
Strong attention to detail, standards, marketing, lighting, fixturing, etc.
Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical and honest behavior.
Creates a sense of urgency; promotes teamwork, delegates appropriately; motivates self and team to accomplish objectives.
Ability to comprehend, train, develop, motivate, and lead in a manner that fosters a smart & scrappy, safe, and fun work environment.
Flexible and creative with an ability to handle multiple tasks where priorities shift with business demands.
